Their story
The Silver Meridian appears only on certain moonless routes, when the dunes reveal a path to observatories buried before the first desert kingdoms. Mireya reads the lunar geometry in the compass beam; Tazira reads the sand itself, knowing which ridges are safe to cross. They have traveled together long enough to trust both maps, especially when the night wind erases the first one.
