Seralyth Vane learned to read the language of storms before she learned to trust a clear sky. Elowen Mirr spent her youth charting moon reflections in quiet canals, convinced that every light on the water carried a memory meant for someone brave enough to listen. They met on a skybridge during the first great tempest of the Luminous Tempest, when Seralyth followed a bolt of impossible blue lightning and found Elowen protecting a fragile vial of moonwater from the rain. The vial held no treasure except a promise: a drop gathered at the moment two people chose one another without witnesses. Years later, they return to that bridge whenever the clouds begin to turn violet. Seralyth brings certainty; Elowen brings wonder. Together they renew their vow beneath the changing sky, not because storms have grown gentler, but because neither of them wants a gentler world if it means facing it alone.
